Public Notice: Accreditation
The Ocean County Sheriff’s Office is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of its accreditation program by verifying that it meets nationally recognized professional standards.

Administered by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with best practice standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.

Agency employees and the public are invited to offer comments by on Sunday, February 2, 2020 between the hours of 10:00AM – 11:00AM by calling (732) 929-4748. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team. Email comments can be sent to Capt. Robert Woardell at rwoardell@co.ocean.nj.us.

Telephone comments are limited to 5 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with the NJSACOP standards. A copy of the standards is available for inspection at the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, 120 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ 08753.
